The Northville High School Computer Science Honors Society is excited to present "Launch into Coding," a hands-on, interactive program designed to introduce middle school students within the Northville district to the foundational concepts of computer science.
This program aims to ignite curiosity and provide practical, beginner-friendly coding experience, making it perfect for students with little to no background in programming. Over the course of four sessions, our high school Computer Science Honors Society members will work closely with participants to demystify essential computer science principles and inspire the next generation of coders.
This 4-day introductory course, completely free of charge, offers students a comprehensive overview of coding basics, covering fundamental topics such as data types, object-oriented programming, and core programming concepts through the Python language.
The program is scheduled for weekly after-school sessions, beginning Monday, November 4th, and held in the Fishbowl—a comfortable, collaborative space at the middle school designed for events and group activities.
For any inquiries or additional information about the program, please reach out to us by phone at 248-826-6923 or via email at NHSCSHonorSociety@gmail.com. We look forward to empowering young minds with the skills to thrive in an increasingly digital world!
